The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Jharkhand government to implement the model code of conduct for municipal polls in the state on 25th March. A Bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhan ordered the state government to provide sufficient number of officers required by State Election Commission as observers to conduct the poll. The court passed the order on a petition filed by the state Election Commission alleging the government was not co-operating in conduct of the civic election.
