Supplementary Charge-Sheet Filed In Ahmedabad Blasts Case 17 Jan 2009, 2249 hrs IST, PTI AHMEDABAD: A supplementary chargesheet in connection with the blast at the city civil hospital on July 26 last year, which claimed 37 lives and injured several others, was filed on Saturday. Crime Branch sources said the 3200-page supplementary chargesheet, filed in the designated metropolitan court hearing the serial blasts related cases, lists 44 persons as absconders, including alleged mastermind Amira Raza Khan believed to be in Pakistan and one Ansar from Kerala. It lists 19 persons as accused. The first chargesheet had 26 persons as accused. The supplementary chargesheet clarifies the role of all those accused in Ahmedabad serial blasts which killed 57 people. Individual roles of all the accused, including those shown as absconders, have been stated in detail, they added. Riyaz Bhatkal and his brother Iqubal Bhatkal, along with Abdus Subhan alias Tauqueer have been named as prime accused who are still at large. The absconders from Ahmedabad include Maujib Sheikh, Alamzeb Afridi and Taufiq Pathan. A crime branch official said the chargesheet filed today gives a comprehensive description of who planted bombs in which area, when and how. He said the explosive-laden car at the two hospitals civil and LG were placed by four persons, namely Afzal Usmani, Qayamuddin Kapadia, Abdul Razzik and Atif who was killed in Delhi encounter.
