Woman raped inside Court premises

The Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested a Court staff for allegedly raping a woman at the Rouse Avenue Court, Delhi.  The accused was then identified as Rajendra Singh, a resident of Kalyanpuri area. 

On 22nd June a PCR call informed the Police about the incident followed by which the accused was sent to judicial custody.  Police officials said that the woman knew the accused for the past six months.  Further the woman in her complaint stated that “the accused took her inside Court room number 308 and sexually assaulted her”.  

An FIR has been registered against the accused for rape under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.  A police official has confirmed that, medical examination has been done.
