A person who himself is facing charges of corruption, is not expected to fairly act upon charges of corruption against other persons in public offices.

After his statement that was aired yesterday asserting that the criminal case is not a corruption case, it is amply clear that the person is a power hungry man and can not live without it. He should rather be sacked on the grounds of proriety at least.

In fact, legally no provisions of CVC Act has been violated in his appointment. As already said Mr.Thomas should have resigned at first place the moment the issues related to irregularities in the import of edible oil came to public domain. He has already held the office of Telecom Secretary before he took charge as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner who is responsible to check Corruption in the society.

If Thomas enjoys the patronage of the Indian Political System in the name of Indian Constitution where he mustered the support of one and all, where is the need for Thomas to resign. He should done it in first place the moment the issues came to limelight.
