I would like to share that a once married woman, later estranged, becomes a liability for the man for his whole life with the support of laws in her favour. In pre-independence and pre-Indian-Constitution era, the women of India used to be assets to their husbands, now liabilities. I wonder whether after marrying, if the relationship sours and couple parts, then does the woman not have her parents and brothers to maintain her, If at all she herself is ABALA and not able to get livelihood. Why only a husband is burdened with the responsibility to feed her in this modern age, particularly, when that poor fellow wants to get rid of the nuisances of that marriage, and in the times when women have equal opportunities to earn. Looking to the cases in the courts, it has become abundantly clear that the majority of such women are using the courts as money minting forums, wherein they are eyeing their husbands to squeeze them maximum, let even his parents and other blood related dependents die of such atrocities. When such a woman, to earn maintenance,  enumerates to the court about the income and assets of her husband shamelessly, she should realise that all that was not built in a day and he has toiled for it in the spring of his life, and it is not earned solely for losing it on women of her kind.

An accomplished man would also expect a partner to be an asset and not a liability.
