Defamation case

WE are in a landlocked area.we have to pass through our neighbours property to reach our house. Though on our house plan the gate is not shown we have been passing through the gate for more then 25 years. Now as per court orders in another case the neighbour was told to cut down the coconut trees. the neighbour cut down the coconut tree and kept the trunk in front of our gate so we cannot pass our vechiles. When told to kindly remove the trunk from the way the neighbour got angry ( maybe because we had told the neighbour sometime back to move out of our property for some time as we had to leave our dogs) and fired us telling us to mind our own business and get lost. This resulted in a heated argument where we just said that the property belongs to her father and not purchased by her. She threatened to sue us saying we accused her of fraud when we didnt even say that. Besides she also told us that if we move the log of wood blocking our entrance then she would take us to court (by the way this is d second time she blocked our way, first time we moved it second time she threatned us). She also said that as she was an Ex-councillor and that she had many contacts and we were nowhere, she even said she knows many judges. Kindly guide me as to whether she could sue us and also our legal options for our access. We are unnecessarily being mentally torchered. kindly provide us a solution. Also do we have to be physically present for our case?
