Delhi court took cognizance against online fraudsters

The Delhi Court took cognizance of Taran Bhargava in the case of fake online transaction executed by him on the website of eBay. The accused was duping the victim buyers on Ebay site using a fake ID amitb8261 under the assumed name of Amit Bhardwaj. One victim was duped when he purchased a Sony Ericsson P910i mobile offered for sale through E-bay by accused under the alias Amit Bhardwaj and made online payment for the same. The victim was alarmed when he did not receive the consignment after the payment and when he contacted the seller at his purported Cell number given on contact information facility of eBay, it was found to be in the name of real Amit Bhardwaj, who said that his identity has been misused and he has already received a call from another victim from Dehradun who is also apparently duped by the same fraudster. The victim later on lodged the complaint with the Delhi police. The cyber cell of Delhi police took the investigation and found that the address given by the accused was false. The police also found that the payment has been made by EBay to the accused through DD in favour of Vexat Inc and the proprietor of Vexat Inc. was found to be Taran Bhargava. Tarun Bhargava was arrested by the Delhi police on his acceptance of the crime.
