Employer not issuing pf

Hi Team,

I was working for a startup company and my employment ended in January, 2016. They gave me my PF number in the month of April and asked to claim the money online. I tried doing that and I got an error

Confirmation of first time employment/previous employment in your case is pending with your employer. Please contact your employer.

I have sent the details to my employer and the error message but they don't seem to be responding and I am not sure what needs to be done in this case.

Can you please help and suggest me what needs to be done.

Hope you have the acknowledgment/proof of dfelivery/proof of disptach of PF forms submitted by you to company.

You have posted that:

"They gave me my PF number in the month of April and asked to claim the money online.'

It is not mandatory to apply on line.

The company is liable to supply you the PF number , PF a/c slips of each year ( released by EPFO to employer for employee).

Demand these and check when was the PF a/c created for you.

The employer is under obligation to attest the PF form and submit to EPFO within 5days of receipt from employee. The employer keeps a copy. Demand a copy of attested form.

The employer is under obligation to confirm the employment by attestation and remove the error if any.

You have replied to company as desired by EPFO.

You can also obtain the details from EPFO thru RTI.

You can lodge complaint with RPFC, Addl.CPFC,CPFC and pursue thru RTI.

If you are unable to resolve entrust to your able counsel.
