Endorsed property registration

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a property in NCR from builder through endorsement by first buyer. I have got sale deed by builder along with endorsement letter and home loan has also been sanctioned and provided by bank.

Now when i am going to register my flat, builder lawyer is asking for hefty amount of 6 lakh to register the same by saying we have to bribe the authority only then it gets registered. I have spent all my life's earning in purchasing this flat and i can't afford this much of amount to pay after paying all the money to buyer as i am out of funds now.

Please advise what could be the best approach to get our flat registered. I am very upset and don't know how to proceed further.

Stamp duty and registration charges are to be borne by the buyer.

You don't have to pay anything beyond that.

There's no reason for you to pay any extra charges as demanded by the lawyer from builder side.

You can complaint to the builder and inform him that you will drag him to consumer forum for unfair trade practice and also for deficiency in service if he is executing the sale deed immediately.

You can even issue a legal notice to the builder in this regard.
