My brother rented his flat in Wagholi, Pune and immediately after few days he passed away. Then by means of a registered partition deed my mother became the flat owner. My brother didnt sign an agreement with the tenant. The tenant came with a draft licence and lease agreement, and when i asked him to get it formally notarized he didnt revert. he has also not paid 3 months rent (which got adjusted against the advance of 25K). when we repeatedly told him to vacate he said he will buy the flat but he has been dilly dallying and really delaying things. we dont trust him anymore. so on 1st Dec we sent a signed letter to him through my mother to vacate on or before 31-Dec. He has not even responded to that. I am based out of Singapore. My mother is in Bangalore. Kindly advise us next steps to evict the tenant.
