Legal heir certificate for ancestral property

Hi,

My mother's grandfather left a property he purchased to his son and first grandson by partition deed. My mother's father died in 1973. He is now survived by two sons and two daughters. Now the family is planning to sell the property and settle as per their share.

The buyer is asking for legal heir certificate. Please let us know how to get this and what will be approx cost.

Thanks

hi

Legal heirship certificate has to be procured by making application to the court. The court issues this certificate. time taken is approx 6-12 months. and its done through a lawyer only.
