my late grand father had taken on rent a small part of land to run his business in 1961 from the land owner in mumbai , now a few years back tht land owner put his land under redevelopment with a builder without counsulting us or offering us a remuneration for our piece of land , now he wants our piece of land where we hv 4 structures incl a mandir , these structues are around more than 45 years except for the mandir which is around 7 years old , my grand father did the rent agreement with the landlord , and we have rent receipts till 1970 after which the land lord stopped collecting rent , and we could not trace him till recently when he came with the builder.As the rent agreement is on my late grandfathers name so how can we proceed reg protecting our rights and protecting my family and business from troubles from the builder. The rent receipts dont have the area given to us on rent ....
