I would like to know if it is legal to purchase an agricultural land in Andhra Pradesh by a non-Agriculturist. I know that many states prevent the purchase of agricultural land by non-agriculturists. I would like to purchase the agricultural land and lease it out to someone who would use it for agricultural purposes. Is this legal?

one can become farmer only by succession. Another way is only that you buy a non-productive land and convert same into productive land and you can do agricultural activities which can yield you some income but that would not make you farmer.
