Renewal of leave and license agreement in mumbai

How can a owner and a tenant extend a leave and license agreement without involving a broker in mumbai?

In Mumbai, it is a well known fact that the brokers fleece the tenants by charging them two months rent for a 11 months contract. If the leave and license contract has expired and the owner and tenant want to renew the same using the services of a lawyer without involving the broker or brokerage is it possible?

My broker has been warning us and causing a nuisance by forcing the society members and the owner saying that he is a member of brokers association and we have to pay him his brokerage to get the contract renewed or else it spells trouble for us.I have also seen many other people in mumbai being subjected to the same treatment. How is it that we could involve a lawyer and get the contract renewed and what are the documents required. My owner can only spend half a day in Mumbai and I have to get it registered by then.Kindly let us know how to go about it

No broker required for renewal.
