Father has acquired property on his own: A) If he is alive then he can give it to anyone. Only he has the right to decide. B) If not alive then check out his will if any. Otherwise it will be equally distributed to all legal heirs i.e son/daughter/wife

It is believed that you are Hindu and all estate/property is self acquired/earned.

Confirm!

NO one has any forced share in self acquired property of Hindu father.

Dear Biswajit,

You are not entitled to any share out of your father's property till her death. To make the things more clear, if your father has already made a will in favour of or gifted to someone else other than you, you will not be entitled to any part of that property, even after the death of your father. So, if your father does not want to give you any share of his property, legally you cannot compel him to do that.

Better start keeping care of your father with love and affection in his old age, so that to enable him change his intentions.
