I have recently come to know that my department did not consider me for promotion in the DPC held in 1989 inspite of my eligibility. I have submitted a representation in this regard with my department. Their reply is - why I have been raising the issue after 20 years. It is barred by time limitation. I would just like to know whether there is any time limitation for claiming denied promotion. I urgently require the judgements of the Apex Court holding that an employee can claim the denied promotion as and when he comes to know about it and that no time limit can be prescribed for the same. Kindly help.
