Typo error correction before scanning sale deed

I have recently purchased a land in chennai. After registration I noticed that there is a mistake in my father's initial. His name is T. Krishnamurthy but in Sale deed it mentioned like K. T. Krishnamurthy.  Since document was not yet scanned,  I have used whitener to rectify  the mistake and put my signature near by (Vertical of the page). Is this Fine?

1. Do I need to execute rectification deed for that?
2. Is seller signature also required since whitener used in the document before scanning?

Your inputs are valuable and please help me in this regard.
