Wipro is not issuing me an experience letter

Hi,

I cam across this forum while I have been looking for answers why Wipro is not issuing experience letter. I have worked with Wipro for over 3 years, 3 years 6 months to be exact. I started in 2018 and in 2021 August, when I was resigning , they asked me to go on sabbatical for my future studies as I opted to study in Canada. The HR told me that you can apply from there if you find any suitable opportunity or you can submit your resignation. Now in that period, I have come to know there is no opportunity available so I decided to put my resignation and further got to know I wont be receing an experience letter which I verified from my colleagues too who resigned from wipro in 2020 and 2021. They too didnt get experience letter except a service letter.

Now to survive in corporate industry, I need that letter so as to verify my job duties otherwise my experience would go unaccounted. Also, if in future I wish to apply for immigration, again this document is needed which is provided by other companies but not WIpro. I had a talk today with HR in the morning, I requested him if he can consult internally and please provide but he gave me no hope and was very impatient during the whole discussion period of half an hour. It actually concerns me if HR can talk like this to an employee , how the people sitting at higher levels would be treating us employees. Anyway. I just want to know if there is a way to extract that letter. My designation was changed within wipro from Project Engineer to Senior software engineer and that is, I dont know how to express that but very crucial to me.

I will be checking your responses if any in next couple of days. Thank you so much for listening to me and if any guidance is possible or if anyone could help me out in such case if you have heard before, I'll be eternally grateful for.

Did you ask WIPRO in writing to issue an experience certificate? And if so, has WIPRO given you a reply in writing ? Further, whether WIPRO has given you a release certificate? please confirm.

I agree with experts, issue legal notice through a local prudent lawyer.

Send a lawyer notice (or) complain to the labour department about the issue. Use your payslips to prove your previous job experience in your new job. Try to get a job in a company where the experience certificate is not mandatory. Meet the head of the company and request him/her to issue your experience & relieving letters.

Check access for alumina wipro portal for ex wipro employees. You can get your documents from that portal. If not found, you can create helpline ticket in that portal. So, that they will respond. You can follow up there.
