You also check whether bank can return the cheque on account of change in name of bank. I had an account with UTI Bank. Its name was changed to Axis Bank. Due to some of their internal changes my bank account number was also changed. However all the old cheques bearing UTI Bank name and old account number were cleared.

138 does not attract as per latest judgment of Supreme court.
Coz it attrats only when there are insufficeint funds and not for any other reason.
