Hi all, My wife filed 498a in local police station in January 2016. Then police called us for our statements. Police filed chapter case u/s 116 and 107 in February 2016. Then they did nothing. It has been 2 years now in that matter. What should be my next step. I am fighting DV and 125 currently. Can police file FIR in 498a now? What can I do to avoid 498a. Thank you in advance.
