No, accursed  presence is not required

No, it is not necessary for the accused to be present at the time of the anticipatory bail hearing, but according to 438 of CrPC, the applicant must be present in the court at the hearing.

The presence of accused before court during the argument seeking anticpatory bail is not essential.
