What will be the caste of a progeny of a single mother, If she gave birth the progeny wilthout marrying any man and does not declare that who is the father of the chil? Whether the progeny may get a caste certificate for his mother's caste if she belongs a SC or ST?

the cast of the child will be usually that of his/her mother.

according to the cast of father is the son but if his/her have no father that means she/he take mother's case.

I will diaagree with all those who advise without going through Govt instructions. A child inhereits case of father. If SC lady married non-Sc the neither children do not ge the reservatin benefit not does hse loose. If non-SC lady marries SC man she doe snot get reservation but her children will. In the given situatuion the mother does not want to name the father so ther eis no case of caste certificate unless obtained fraudulently.
