atleast u admit that lareke wale take these "bribes".....good.

the entire system asks for bribes.it's polluted.wot can bribe givers do?

if they refuse to give this bribe,they will hardly get a good match for their daughter.even if they get one,the family she's wedded into may start torturing for this "bribe" afterwards.and this results in litigation of many yrs. and perhaps a divorce.so there's no guarantee that a so called simple family who did not ask for this "bribe" will treat the bahu properly post marriage.

and in this way, parents are actually forced into giving this bribe.THEY ARE NOT AT FAULT

if parents act idealistic b4 marriage & want to complain legally against the bribe askers,they will again get engaged into long litigation.and u know how "great" our indian legal system is....and how "fast" an innocent person gets justice.so no one wants to get involved into these litigations.

and they end up paying this "bribe" to avoid these ugly legal battles later on.

now after reading all this,wot do u suggest to bribe givers who gave under pressure pre-marriage?

lets talk of the solution instead of focussing on the problem and beating about the bush..

It is true that no one like to pay bribe, but they pay under compulsion.

Also the bribe takers lay trap, and ensures that without paying no one can escape or there is no way out. Bribe taker work more hard in this regard.

In that case paying is not that much offence as taking.

so wat is solution to eliminate this problem?

why not stop giving bribe from 2011.

Sony Madam Your concern is genuine. We mustat least try to stop bribing.

There are so many govt agencies like the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Central Information Commission (CIC) and the Controller Auditor General (CAG). These are all anti-corruption agencies but they are not seems enough. Unless we do something we will not the good result.

Here corrupts and bribe/dowry takers are outsmarting us and are working overtime twice as hard to continue their illegal practices and failing all the measures of ours.

SUPPOSE A GOOD LOOKING GIRL AND AN UGLY GIRL OFFERED A BOY TO MARRY. NATURALLY,THE BOY WILL CHOICE THE GOOD LOOKING GIRL.

NOW TO SNATCH THIS MATRIMONIAL OFFER, UGLY GIRL OFFERED

UGLY GIRL + CAR + FLAT ETC. A SIMPLE PACKAGE DEAL.

ON THE CONTRAY GOOD LOOKING GIRL IS POOR AND NO MONETORY OFFER.

THE BOY ACCEPTED THE PACKAGE DEAL.

NOW WHY NOT THE UGLY GIRL WILL BE PUNISHED FOR PAYING DOWRY?

ALL marriages be registered in court.

all those not registered after notification of law be declared as  illegal.

all marriages shud have no dowry, no gift affidavit signed.

all marriages shud have prenupital contract drafted by both sides advocates stating clearly terms of marraige, alimony in case of divorce, means assets and qualification / any specicic material fact  of both spouses . so that later on there is no allegation of cheating.

there was a govt directive to make registration of marriages as mandatory in this regard but nothing has happened yet.
