I have seen discussions on various matters relating to properties purchased under Sarfaesi
On seeing an advertisement in the paper, I phoned Allahabad Bank in Kolkata and was told that they dont have any documents available. The property was on auction on an "AS is where is basis" etc.
Problem is how can one know what the liabilities relating to the property are. Liablilites such as unpaid municipal taxes, stamp duties etc. One can only consider buying it if the liabilities do not exceed their valuations.
