Is it compulsory to get affidavit notarised

Dear all,

As per DIN Rules DIN-4 has to be in affidavit form. Please confirm does that mean it has to be on stamp paper and needs to be compulsorily notarised.

Here , in my city , Notary makes two types of notarisation they just attest the document without issuing No. for the document without presence of the applicant or issue number but in that case they need appearance of the applicant before them.

Is it required that each affidavit must carry the notary number or simple notary is sufficiant for the affidavit.

Matter below speaks by itself:

An affidavit is a written sworn statement of fact voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation administered by a person authorized to do so by law. Such statement is witnessed as to the authenticity of the affiant's signature by a taker of oaths, such as a notary public or commissioner of oaths.

An affidavit is a type of verified statement or showing, or in other words, it contains a verification, meaning it is under oath or penalty of perjury, and this serves as evidence to its veracity and is required for court proceedings. It is done with the help of court, with a stamp paper.
