Land problem

Hi, Myself prakash. Living in salem district Tamil Nadu. I am having land of 3.5 acres. Near one corner of my land there is a grave yard for different communities. Some people are threatening us not to cultivate in some portion of my land which is situated near the grave yard. They are saying that some portion of your land is porampokku. so should survey it and set the boundaries and then you start to cultivate. We also surveyed our land and set the boundaries. Even though the same peoples are not accepting. Even they know there is no porampokku available in our land. They are doing voluntarily  to get some money from us. We have given complaint to police. But they are not taking any steps. How can proceed further to solve my problem and start cultivate my land. Dears Sir's kindly help me by giving ideas to solve my problem.

Land disputes are very complicated in nature, you cannot solve the problem by yourselves.  You have to engage an experienced lawyer.  Porampokku, means long before our independence, some lands were left unutilized which were called as porampokku,  later after formation of our government, the govt had declared all porampokku lands should be merged in the govt and they are treated as govt. lands.  First you have to check up with the survey department what is the nature of your land whether it is porampokku or patta land.  If it is your own land you have to file a civil suit for perpetual injunction before the local court and should obtain temporary injunction restraining the persons who are trying to interfere your land (including the grave yard).  Once you get the temporary injunction order, you can cultivate your land by taking the help of police protection.  If you have any other doubts, you can contact me 7893011777 or ravinder2345@gmail.com.

Make a survey of the land with the help of government surveyor and demarcate the property/ land that belongs to you as per the schedule described in your document, a confirmation by the local revenue officer (VAO) from the records held by him may also be obtained and encircle your property by barbed wire or any other method of fencing, in the event of any objection or obstruction by th surrounding people, you may lodge a complaint with the Superintendent or Police (since the local police are not taking your complaint) with a copy to The Chief Minister's Private cell, you will certainly get the relief sought for.
