Legal advice against dental clinic

The summary in short

Went for Wisdom tooth extraction on a Named Private Dentist Clinic

Paid fully for operating charges to be done in OT under anesthetic specialist

Within 2 mins the drill machine (bur ) becomes faulty , was moved to a dentist chair , outside OT where the rest of the removal took place

Steel bur head is stuck inside my jaw(faulty machine in OT) , now doctor unable to remove due to probable nerve damage

Sewed up the tooth with the bur inside and told me not to worry

What are my options on this matter

Thanks in advance

1. You have an positive option to file a grievance petition against the Dentist, in the local Consumer Court, for their illegal trade practice, negligence, deficiency, harassment, intimidation, cheating etc.... with proper documentary evidences and you can claim damages /compensation & interest on your investment, and for your physical & mental trauma.

Consult a local prudent lawyer for filing a consumer complaint.

First preserve all such receipts and x rays and consult a reputed Dentist for an estimate for immediate remedy.  There are many online forums and prepare a good query and seek guidance on such medical negligence if any in this unfortunate incident.   Also, make investigation about the expertise of dentists and such previous complaints.   With all these facts contact a local advocate not connected to Dentist family /relatives/friends and seek guidance.

Hi thank you very much , I visited 2 other dentist after this and they both gave opp answer .One said nothing will happen other said something can happen after 2-3 years . All are exp oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

Regarding online forums do you have anything in mind ?

Thanks

The simple issue is as to whether you can must support from expert dentist and written references to establish such negligence in treatment, if you can establish then you may follow up and if there is no risk in the future, then you may think twice before entering into litigation.  Just search in google for such expert guidance on line.

Can possibly be a case of Medical Negligence too, if the part sewed up in your jaw causes any other further injury.
