Meaning and interpretation of a legal jargon used in court judgments

'Be that as it may' is a phrase mostly seen in many of the Court orders/judgments.

What is the literal meaning of the phrase ? In legal context, how is it interpreted ?

Any advice ?

Hello sir/ma'am,

The meaning of the phrase "Be that as it may" is means despite that/of or nevertheless, nonetheless, however, notwithstanding.
It may also be used to introduce a statement that is somehow different from what has just been said.

Hope this solved your query!
