I need help from property legal experts. I'm buying a property in which there were joint owners (mother - M and son - S1). S1 died in 2010. S1 was unmarried. S1's father is no more. S1's mother i.e. M has total six children - five sons and 1 daughter. Of five sons, S1 is no more, another son is also expired. Daughter is married, and her three brothers are also there.
Given this case, can you tell me how the succession law will be applied and who becomes the legal heirs in this case? Is the mother the only legal heir?
