Passport new

Recently on applying for passport I faced difficulties which are in fact guidelines for others as well as need to be forwarded for necessary changes.

(1) For passport of minor it is clearly written on the official website that Form-h to be submitted on plain paper. But the Psk official needs it on stamp paper without recognising what is written on the website.

(2) If the name in birth certificate differs with that on the matriculation certificate there is no recourse. No affidavit, no certificate. Instead they tell you to get the name on the birth certificate changed (so stupid in case of a major person).

(3) Wife and husband the DOB in case of people born prior to 1989 Matriculation certificate is acceptable. But if proof of residence such as telephone bill is in husband's name, not acceptable (indirectly: you have to prove that you are living together and are still husband and wife). A simple verification by the husband or the wife whatever the case me be to be incorporated. In most of the families the phonem, water bill, elec bill etc are in the name of the husband only.

These are some of the things which are doing nothing in terms of security but are a matter of harrasment for the people. The worst one being the birth certificate name . It happens many times that after the child reaches matriculation level we change the name. But if you have plans to make a passport for the child in future, dont change his/her name.
