Psychometric Evaluation of Minor Child

1a. Custody evaluation is never done even if requested by Father(s) I was one of the father way back in 2008 who requested trial court for one such test and even named the right specialist - denied and dismissed with no "reasoning" by your Honor was the bummer I got :-)


1b. Running every time to HC is expensive as well as time consuming and by the time HC wakes up to the needs of such important custody evaluation parameters in such cases the child will pop-up to become 18 years so time for next battery of test will come.


Some early solution:


1. Education of Trial Court Judges (Family Courts) handling custody and visitation cases followed by chamber audience with District Judge (Principal Judge Family Courts) every quarter.

2. Conducting seminars and inviting Judges of trial court and District Judge (as Chief Guest) and taking them through power point presentation on such issues every quarter.


3. Road shows for each suburbs school teachers and local schools Parents Associations is another way out.


Well there are so many other different ways to educate the Judiciary as well as parents coupled with local schools but frankly do you have the time and resources let us be frank about it and let us not become yet another cyberspace tigers (read it as, you scratch mine and I scratch yours kind of stuff playing pocket polo sort of literary)

BTW, don’t keep on questioning judiciary and/or instead ANSWER them what society (read fatherless children of the nation) NEEDS AS THEIR RIGHTS currently.


Your purpose will be solved, choice is all yours instead of behaving like yet another lost child (innocently).

psychometric evaluation can be permitted by the court and there are several instances.Court can appoint the team of psychiatrist and psychologist for psychometric evaluation of couple and child whenever they feel its warranted.MOhan kumar rayana vs komal rayana .Dr haridas of jj hospital was appointed and asked to submitt the report.judgement is of bombay high court .judge is B Marlapalle ,DB BHONSLE.date of judgment 16 jan 2009.
