Dear Sir / Madam,
My Anut was staying in a rented room in Mumbai Suburbs. She has stayed in the room for more than 25 years.
My aunt did not had any son or daughters of her own..
The room receipt was in the name of my aunt since the time it was purchased from land lord.
My aunt died in 2008 at the native place, after the death of my aunt we approached in the land lord to transfer the rent receipt in our name, however the land lord is doing so. The keys of the room are with us.
My uncle also died in 1996.
Please advice can we get the room transferred in our name from land lord through legal means ??
