Resignation not accepted

Dear Sir,

I am working in one of the India's largest bank. The problem is that I have resigned from my post with the notice period of 15 days. In my offer letter, it is mentioned "the notice period is 90 days or in case of exigencies, we can relieve with equal compensation".

Tell me what to do as the authority wants me to serve for 90 days.

If there is a condition of 90 days, it is better to do like that.

The option of relieving with 15 days compensation vests with the management and not to employees, it seems.
