RTI applicability to Private Sector

Can one Management staff category employee in Private Sector company resort to RTI Act to unearth the reason for any transfer / demotion / adverse decision of the management?Please advise urgently.

no, private bodies are not covered by the RTI Act.

RTI Act is specific please go thorugh it it is simple and the legislature has some intention while legislating the Act. Your question answerd negatively.

no RTI is not applicable to pvt. institutions.


if there is some civil dispute then u can compel the summoning of any such document through the process of court after due permission as according to law.


moreover how can u intrude into the privacy of some pvt. body under the pretext of RTI?
