Salariy not paid for 4 months

Hi,
I am Dr. Rajkamal, I have joined in a private firm, an insurance company called "Star Health" as a Medical Officer for Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme (a government of Andhra Pradesh initiative). I worked from November 2nd, 2009 to March 2nd, 2010. I did not receive any salary from them and it was for that very reason that I resigned from the job.

Since then I have been pursuing the authorities regarding my salary but so far there is no response from them. They have been postponing the issue saying - "you will receive the pay check next week". One week back, the one who used to be my boss said that it is out of his hands and that the Main Branch of Star Health is in Chennai and they have to take action. Then I realised that they have no intention of paying me. I have sent two mails to the CEO of Aarogyasri (an IAS officer) explaining my issue. He too didn't respond.

I want to know what further action can I take to receive my salary.

Issue a legal notice.

Quote reference from your appointment letter which mentions the amount of salary to be paid to you, and all the emails,letters, you have sent and the in peson meetings you had/telephonic discussions you had with the name of the concerned persons , including your boss,and send the written communication by registred post to the managing director of the company which employed you and ask for reply and disbursment of your earned wages within say 7 days by registred post, and mention that failing this you shall be constrained to initiate legal procedding at their cost and consequences.

Compile all the record you have with you, including your attendance record, all communications and all documents you have and also you can precure and show them to your local service lawyer.

In case you do not get relief from the Manging Director send a legal notice and proceed.

V. VASUDEVAN (LEGAL COUNSEL) 16 May 2010

Write a complaint to the local Labour Officer and meet them after a week or so to pursue the matter. The AP Government is also equally responsible and hence if the IAS Officer in charge does not respond write to the Ministry and seek full details of the scheme under RTI

Proceed to file for info under RTI as suggested by Mr. Vasudevan. RTI is a powerful tool and you can obtain the info which otherwise you may not be given.

Please post the action taken by you and results
