I purchased a plot from my father- in- law. This plot was purchased by my father- in- law by taking loan from the bank in which he was employee. Now my brother-in-law has filed a suit that my father-in-law was possesing agricultura which my father-in-law minherited from his father and the income from that property was used for rapayment of the loan. So that also becomes ancestral property. Father of my father-in-law died intestate. My query is: whether the property which devolved upon my fatehr-in-law is his separate property or it si property of joint hindu family vis-a-vis his son? It is not clear whether father of my father-in-law received this property from his father or it was his self purchased property? father of my father-in-law died in the year 1964.
