My uncle expired a month ago without leaving any nominee on his bank account. Legal heirs are my father, his elder brother and a younger sister. Now in order to claim amount from bank, my uncle is planning for applying succession certificate along with death certificate (now obtained). Below are my queries:
1. Can succession certificate contain only one name (say uncle), instead of 3 and claim amount from bank?
2. If answer to above is yes, what will happen if uncle named in the certificate later denies to distribute the amount?
3. My uncle is asking for authorization from my father and sister to speed fast claim process and collect amount on their behalf, is this advisable, should this be done?
