Succession certificate twice

In case the court has issued a succesion certificate to the proper legal heir for claiming known assets of the deceased. After say three years, the legal heir comes to know of one more asset, say, an FD in a bank in the name of the deceased. To claim this money, does he have to again approach the court with an application for succession certificate ?
