I have purchased material from Hungary under CNF terms. The seller have shipped it with some shipping line from Constanta port. Two days later I got email from shipping company stating that your 8 container have reached in Istanbul, Turkey. Now from here they will load it on another vessel. And I will have to deposit refundable amount of 30810 Euros for container. If I fail to do so they will not load the material and I will have to pay demurrage charges of 100 Euro per container daily. Can they do that? Will I have to pay demmurage charges?
