weather we are living in awelfare state?

India is the largest democracy of the world. We boast to be the welfare state but the activities of our governments are contrary to this ideal. We can take one example of U.P. government. The govt. vide their Sankalp  No.va.aa.-2-251/10-54(m)/2008/T0 c0 DATED 07/02/2009 accepted the recommendations of pay comittee regarding pensioners of local bodies,Zila Panchayat etc. More than one and half Year Have passed ,but the said resolution approved by the cabinate has not been implemented in Zila Panchayats and the pensioners of Zila Panchayats, mostly senior citizens are suffering in this time of high price in every sphere of  life. The reasoniis not unknown but the apathy of the govt towards senior citizens raise a big question mark that   weather we are really living in a democratic and welfare state?

It has been decided by the government that not to waste money by handing over to non-productive public servants as they have already enjoyed alot of money and other facilities while in service and even after retirement and they are having enough to fulfill their life need and so the money is saved from such wastage to use the same for welfare of people who have no secured job opportunity.

IT IS THE WELFARE APPROACH OF THE GOVERNMENT.
