My dad has 3.5guntha (NA land) in village gifted to him by his cousine sister in 1969 with gift deed (not registered) and accordingly 7/12 is on his name. Now after 46yrs (after death of dads cousine sister), his cousine sister son has challenge this transfer and sent court notice. We have 7/12, paying property tax, gift deed on stamp paper Rs3 and 8-a on my dads name since 1969 onwards. My question is,if i go for fight, what could be result? When registration act come into existence? will I get any compensation, even if I lose?
