420

Can the intention to cheat without actual loss of property took place punishable under IPC 420? A cheque got bounced and the cheque issuer claims it is security cheque and can not be encashed and files cheating case.

Dear Sir,

For IPC 420  - A loss of property and/ or property equivalent with an intention to cheat is a must.

In Cheque cases, it may or may not be applicable.  Need more facts for clarifications.

Regards,
