In a LDCE exam conducted by department of Post, 10 questions out of total 50 questions were deleted as many candidates alleged that those questions were our of syllabus, all the questionsbearing 2 marks each. As a result, the marks of those candidates who wrote correct answers to all of those 10 deleted questions, or 8-9 questions, were drastically reduced while some candidates who wrote most of the answers wrong of those 10 questions got an unfair advantage as their score and percentage increased(I.e someone who scored 84 out of 100 and wrote right answers to all the 10 deleted questions stands at 64 marks out of 80, as his 20 number got deleted and someone who scored 76 out of 100 and wrote only 3 right answers among the 10 deleted questions now stands at 70 marks out of 80 as only his 6 numbers got deleted). As a result, those candidates who were confident of passing the exam with high marks and getting a seat are now in severe depression because their marks has been reduced drastically. My question is if someone fails to clear the cut off due to the fact that he got all the answers correct to the deleted questions and his marks were drastically reduced due to the questions getting deleted, can he challenge that decision and argue for giving him a vacant post as he would have scored very well if those questions weren't deleted???
