Govt, Decisions etc is not as Democratic as what it is claimed.
Pay Commission benefits few, but impacts entire society. It was set up just days before Elections. it is tabled now. Public did not have any say at all.
Are Govt. employees (amongst equals) in miserable state? is the money anything less today? Is there any guarantee that more & more money, rewards, tours, perks etc etc will enable as much of returns? Have Govt jobs been given to all high fliers, patriots? Can Govt certify that every Govt. employee is worth, doing justice to what s/he is drawing? Can Govt. certify that jobs were, are, will be given only in fair manner & employees will be continued only in fair manner? Has the Govt. ensured equal number of service years, facilities, patronage, royalty etc to equals? Such basic questions need be answered first.
Businesses in Leather, mining, deforestation (wood) etc AND increases in taxes, costs of commodities/services is feeding the hikes in salary.
India is perhaps the only country that can help evolve a new lifestyle that meshes best of sciences with best of ethics. India was world's leader through her own wisdom, thoughts, inherent strengths. Copying will not enable that position.
This sort of hikes is killing all those initiatives. No money is coming into sectors, science projects that are on these percepts. The Govt. employees are sucking up all those.
Govt. should work up ways to empower every citizen & not keep strengthening Govt. employees. Even brothers, sisters of same families do not help. Work, green ways, perpetuality etc should be parameter to reward & not mere enrolment.
SELF SUSTAINABILITY OF JOBS & NOT PAMPHERING THE ALREADY REWARDED IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR.
CAN SOMETHING BE DONE IN MODERATING THE REPORT NOW?
