A Coconut tree Damages Car and House

I have a Coconut Tree in my House which is leaning over my neighbors house and today the Branches and the coconuts fell on their car and also the house and caused some damages . Am I liable to pay?(by law)

It will depend o the fact whether the tree was leaning since a long time and this was predictable and still you did not take any reasonable measure or this could not be predicted and the branches fell off somehow, due to the wind or something. in the latter case you are safe under s. 80, otherwise you might be liable to pay something if not the whole damage. If that person has insurance then also you are safe.

Any suggestion depends upon facts and circumstnaces whether there had been negligence on your part or you had been reckless.
