Academic legal query

Hello Learned Counsel!

I want an answer related to reshuffling of ministers by the government. My first question is-

  1. Is it lawful?
  2. If yes, then which law entertain this mechanism?
  3. And, please let me know, is this step taken by government is beneficial or not?

According to the situation that you have mentioned, let me brief you about Article 75 of the Indian Constitution. Article 75 talks about the Prime Minister. It mentions that there would be a Prime Minister of the country who would be appointed by the President and chosen by the people of India through General Elections. It provides the powers and duties of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has the power to reshuffle their cabinet.

The time will tell whether the step taken by the government was beneficial.

Hey @Shrishti Jain, thanks for your reply. I still carry a query regarding the same. Would you clarify the same.

Would you please specify which clause of Article 75 of the constitution gives this power. And, please explain how is this related to the clause you are mentioning.

Best Regards,
