Is your grandfather is an adivasi.?

1. Govt. allots Land (classified as New Tenure)  to Tribal people, for self-sustanance and said Lands are not owned by the Tribal people.  The Title-Ownership of such Lands are vested with the Govt.  Hence such Tribal Lands CANNOT be Sold /Purchased, by anybody, including other Tribal people.

2.  Buying /Selling Tribal /Advasi Land, is in itself a prosecutable offence, leading to confiscation of the Land, by the Govt.  HOWEVER, Tribal /Advasi Land can be Sold /Purchased by converting them into "old tenure" by taking appropriate permission from the district collector.
