Affidavit of support

Dear Sir / Ma'am,

I need to provide an affidavit of Support, supporting some facts for my relative in India, like supporting some material facts (document may be produced in court as an exhibit). Should my affidavit be on a stamp paper? what value? will it need to be notarized? or registered?

thank you very much for any suggestions.

Request your counsel to prepare the affidavit on payment of appropriate court fees.

Affidavit can be made on a non judicial stamp paper, the value of which differs from one state to another, in some states it can be made on Rs. 20/- stamp paper, in some states it should be made on Rs. 100/- stamp paper. Clarify this locally.  If need be the affidavit can be notarised by a Notary Public.  No need for registration.
