Dear all,
I have entered in to an "Agreement to Sell" with a builder and the project is to be completed with in 24 months. The payment schedule have been given to me which spans over 24 months.
I have paid .01 % as stamp paper charges as for making the "Agreement to Sell".
Now i wanted to know Is this "Agreement to Sell" document has to be registered mandatorily? The builder and others said it is not required to register it, but as per the THE KARNATAKA OWNERSHIP FLATS (REGULATION OF THE PROMOTION OF CONSTRUCTION, SALE, MANAGEMENT AND TRANSFER) ACT, 1972 or KARNATAKA ACT No.16 of 1973 it is saying that the same document has to be registered mandatorily.
