Ancestral or inherit property..,. Confused

Members....I have a query ..... If my grandfather I.e fathers dad transfered property on my mother & father's name in joint as per the will.....is it called ancestral or inherit property.....can my cruel wife or my son can claim it.....

Earlier it was on my grandfather name....long time ago property is transferred ony mother and father name i.e 50% now aa per the will....so does my son have rights on it....Bcz my cruel wife wants a share

As far as the mothers share is concerned it is not ancestral property.as far as the fathers share is concerned in the given circumstance i assumE that the property would have devolved on your father through will or gift.in that case your fathers share too would not be considered as ancestral property
